Before resorting to such an extreme measure, I decided to give chiropractic medicine a try and made an appointment with Dr. John Bartholet. Dr. John focused on not only relieving the pain I was in at the time, but also on teaching me how to reduce the frequency of recurrence. It has been six months since I began going to Body In Motion and because of the services I received and subsequently following methods Dr. John taught me, I have not had one episode of recurring back pain.
Allison Willis Ali Huston After back surgery (laminectomy and spinal fusion
of the lower four vertebrae) followed later by hip replacement surgery, I
experienced severe lower back pain. Physical therapy was recommended, but it failed to alleviate the pain. Next pain therapy was recommended. It did help, but significant pain
remained. Upon the recommendations of a
friend, I went to Dr Bartholet. Within a
few months my pain was significantly reduced. Dr. Bartholet is very knowledgeable about current research in his field,
very professional and very caring. Thus
I heartily recommend him without reservation to anyone suffering from the kind
of back pain I experienced. Kent K. I came to Dr. John Bartholet Chiropractic Clinic stiff as a diving
board, neck, back, shoulders, biceps and forearms sore and hurting.
After his treatments my range of motion and soreness has greatly improved. Dr. Bartholet also elevated my nerve pain
in my pelvic area with a laser cooling light a huge relief after 20 years... Jim M. I had been experiencing some pain in my left foot and went to my Dr. that
had performed my most recent surgery. He is a foot specialist and took some
X-rays and his diagnosis was that it was related to a stress fracture. No
official diagnosis, but being a runner the general outcome is a stress fracture. Every morning when I would wake up and stretch my foot or ankle I would get
a sharp pain in the foot area. I told Dr. Bartholet about it and he isolated
the area where the pain was. He used this GrastonTechnique which lasted about 2 minutes and not to tell a lie, it was rather excruitiating. He rubbed this instrument over the injured
area and then iced it down. Al in all it was pretty cut and dry. When I woke up this morning and went through my normal routine of
stretching, I noticed that the pain wasn't there. I tried several different
stretches thinking maybe I had done something different but to no avail. The
pain was gone. I went out and ran 2 miles and felt no discomfort at all. Whatever this
treatment did, it worked. 8 hours later I still feel no discomfort. Now from going to a stress fracture to not having any pain at all I feel
there is something to be said to it. I can keep you posted on the long term effect. E.J. Three years ago I randomly developed a pinched nerve in my lower back. I
visited my doctor, was referred to a Physical Therapist, who then referred me
to another Physical Therapist, who referred me to a 3rd one. None could figure
out any motion to set me in that didn’t aggravate the situation. Over the 3
months of visits I was eventually told that I probably had some nerve damage
and it would just take time to heal. Through the next 3 years my left leg
consistently experienced muscle spasms in the calf, a tight hamstring, achiness and occasional pain in my lower back down through
my leg. I was introduced to a Chiropractor through a Health Fair at work who
suggested I visit with him. He immediately took x-rays and set forth a course
of action, which included 45 visits and a prepaid savings plan, costing me
roughly $2500 out of pocket. Wanting a second opinion I visited Dr. Bartholet.
He took the time to ask me specifically what my ailments were and tried various
paths to a solution. He not only treated me in office, but also sent me home
with recommendations for stretches and pressure point relief. His belief was to
reassess after each visit and set the course of treatment based on my progress,
not on what my ailments were the first time I stepped in the office. After
visiting Dr. Bartholet only 7 times in a course of 6 months my symptoms have
completely diminished. In my path to recovery I started to exercise daily, but my hamstring was
still tight even after 3 months of activity and stretching. In my last visit
Dr. Bartholet had me perform four repetitions of one stretching exercise while
he applied pressure to one point in my leg. IT WAS AMAZING! The tightness
completely disappeared and I was able to reach the floor. It’s been weeks now
and I have had no reoccurrence of the problem. Three years of problems and
finally someone was able to help. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bartholet to anyone who might be seeking
care from a Chiropractor. Not only is he highly qualified, but he also takes
the time to listen to what you’re saying and decides on the best course of
action based on what you are saying at each step of the process. Quite a
difference from the 45-visit plan given out on day one from other
Chiropractors! Keri Mikkelsen Dr. Bartholet prescribed a 5 week course of treatment using light laser
therapy. The results have been astounding. We ended up doing a 6 week treatment, and I am now pain free and I no longer experience
any numbness or tingling. I highly recommend Dr. Bartholet to any patient – he is extremely
knowledgeable and ethical. Anne
Doris J. Gibbs I’ve been to my share of chiropractors but have never seen one as wonderful
as Dr. John. He really listens to your pain & knows exactly how to
fix it. He spends time with you & is not rushing you out the door for
the next patient. I like how he explains the procedures & how to make
it so it won’t hurt again. Jennifer Clark I was having terrible neck pain and unable to move my neck. I called
Dr. Bartholet Amie Smith “I was in a serious car accident and suffered a spine injury that left me in
a great deal of pain. Dr. John took great care in diagnosing my condition
and working a treatment program that was both medically sound and conservative
regarding adjustments. Even my Physical Therapist was impressed with the
program he set me up on and that is usually not the case between traditional
medical professionals and chiropractors. His professionalism as well as
his willingness to treat me not in accordance with what his practice needed for
income but, according to my actual needs, has left me with nothing but great
things to say about this impressive chiropractor.” Kellie M. “John, thank you for the personal attention related to helping me with the
discomfort in my jaw. I appreciated your patience and thoroughness.
It’s too bad you can’t stay in
God Bless Dr. Bartholet is a kind and caring physician. He is a professional who
continually stays up-to-date with new treatments and techniques. I would highly
recommend him. Stephanie P. |
